Help!! I am looking for a dive map of cozumel. This map is not the normal dive site map, it is a map that shows the underwater terrain. I saw the map here about a year ago. I did a search for it and could not come up with anything. Thanks for your help

Sounds like what you are looking for is a navagational map with depth soundings marked on it. I've been searching for one of the Cozumel waters also and haven't had any success yet.

I have one of the Midway Islands from when I was in the Navy, we used to have one like it up in the dive shop there and would mark our dive spots on it.

I'm pretty sure mine is a NOAA map, but I don't know if they have done one for Cozumel or not.

this website has nautical charts, but I haven't been able to figure out if they are exactly what I'm looking for http://www.nauticalcharts.com/

It sounds like you're looking for the Underwater Editions Cozumel Dive Guide as others have posted. Here's a thread listing/reviewing the dive books for the area that I've found. Since then I've picked up the Playa Del Carmen version of the Underwater Editions Dive Guide as well.

Thanks guys, I knew that this group would come through for me.

Just out (very recently in fact) from Laura (Mapchick) and Perry, makers of really nice maps of Cozumel, Cancun, Riviera Maya and Isla Mujeres is....

http://www.cozumeldivemap.com/

I haven't seen one in person yet but 250 of them are arriving here on the island tomorrow. They will be available at selected dive shops. Laura and Perry are donating a large portion of the proceeds to the Cozumel Chrysalis Group, which helps children of low income families with the cost of education. For more on Chrysalis, see:

You will soon be able to order the map online although they don't have that webpage up and running quite yet.

Hope that helps,

Sally

Thanks for the heads up! They put out very nice maps so I'm sure it will be worth the $10 - especially since it's also going for a good cause.
