Uncle Pug:
Actually Scott I told OE2X he could probably get an extra $100 for it since it has now been *Pug Tested*.

Folks... for those who are ironically challenged and sarcastically impaired, you probably didn't understand my initial post. Let me simplify:

There isn't anything wrong with the Zeagle Ranger BC. If you need an excuse for your inability to maintain trim & buoyancy as well as have great gas consumption then by all means blame your gear. :D But it ain't the gear.

A lot of folks dive Rangers around here. They are very popular and though I prefer a backplate wing I had no trouble at all using the Ranger for this dive.

But then I can reverse kick using Appalling Biofins too. :D

(OE2X wanted $375 for his like brand spanking new Zeagle Ranger BC but you can buy it now for $475!)

Ironically, the drings are all wrong.

Uncle Pug, Hear Hear. A good diver could probably dive circles around people with a backpack harness while cracking the tank valve to get air.
You can give a good carpenter crappy tools and you will still get a pretty nice result

A skilled practitioner of any trade or craft will do good work dispite having less than ideal tools available. However, they are also the ones who know the difference between good tools and bad and are most particular about the tools they use.

Ironically, the lesser skilled craftsman may not know good tools from bad yet the quality of tools he uses have a much greater impact on the quality of his work. He lacks the skill to make up for the deficiencies of the tool.

i can't breathe... i'm laughing too hard...

the zeagle ranger is trying to kill me just reading about it...

Hey, I agree. Never could understand the draw of a big huge enormous BC that adds drag, flops, and needs more lead to offset. If you can't have a BP/W, then the smallest, lightest, BC around is the ticket, IMHO. Right now that looks like the Zeagle Scout. There are a few others but I can't remember them right now.

Well, I suppose I could outfit myself with USIA suit, Ranger BC, Biofins and a pink snorkel but that wouldn't prove the point.

The real test would be to find a n00b with the same outfit (shouldn't be hard around here) and give them a little one on one tune up clinic. With the right n00b, in couple of dives I could prove my point. With the wrong n00b no amount of gear would make it happen.

;) Let's see, if I remember correctly, UP has run off to dive without his computer because it "rots yer brain". Could this be why he ran off without his BP&W???

UP, Bet you wish you'd compared your backpack w/balloon to a Scuba-L or Triple-L.

....and you realize I'm being both ironic and sarcastic at the same time right??!?

You only had problems because the Zeagle is part of a holistic system. Use of JetFins with the Zeagle destroys the balance and zen.

Didn't you try out some split fins a while back? IIRC, you tried them out while wearing a BP/wing. Bad karma. If only you had tried the synergystic combination of Zeagle and split fins .......
