I get a loaner from my LDS, and it's pretty ancient but... it connects to a low pressure port. WTF? I thought this would have to go to a high pressure port!? What's up with this?
You might look into a new LDS. I'm surprised the shop would make this mistake.
I wouldn't get down on them too much, the person giving the loaner was probably born after the change was in place and may not even be a tech. "you need a loaner, here is a loaner." Good customer service, bad knowledge base.
Since the LDS did not put the SPG on, the "tech" who was installing it would be resopnsible for the knowledge of his equipment.
All this is easy for me to say 'cause I was around during the change and still am using old gear with and without adaptors.
