I can not wait for next wednesday!! (Lobster Mini- Season)

Anyone have any lobstering tricks or tips to share?

I like to pick a fight with the big ones to get them to come out far enough to persuade out of a deep crevice, just take the handle end of the snare, tap in front of the bug about 18" away and repeat moving AWAY from the monster. He will get all aggrsive and try and chase your stick out! try it before season begins, it takes a little practice.

Any one else?

I dive for crays, so catch them by hand not by a stick. The trick is when you have them by the horns, they can lock tehmselves into the crevice and be impossible to pull out.

If you cant pull them out immediately, give them a short sharp push inot the crevice and they trip, lose their footing and you can scoop them out.

Long arms!!! Carry a big stick!!!
The twist!!! If my hand gets on top it's over!!!
The outer bans!!!

The best thing I ever did was get aggressive. Just make sure there isn't an eel or urchin behind the lobster and go for it. Don't be hesitant or you will lose a lot of lobster. And make sure your not grabbing an eggy lobster, gotta make sure we have lobster for the future.
