Dennis, for S. Leyte, whale shark season is I think Dec - early Spring. Feb-June sounds more like Donsol's seson.
 
What's there Chip?

We may have a boat with everything we need on board, including a chamber.

What about south? We would be starting off near Leyte.

i heard the camotes islands (east of cebu) are a gem waiting to happen...

flying fish has been there (not to dive though)... says reports are it's a great dive... no operation so you'll have to bring your own snorkel :wink:

johnny's dive of camiguin opened a shop in camotes but had closed it up. dont know why. maybe you can ask him. his email can be found via his website. just google johnny's fun n dive camiguin
 
SLIGHTLY OFF TOPIC.

if you hang around Taal Yacht club you would meet some guys who sells boats.

in the mean time you may take a hike to the top of the crater around 50mins hike up. horses are available.

swimming around the lake (not the crater lake) is a new experience. warm water.
