Ultima Dry Glove System question

I'm using the UDGS for a couple of years now and used rubber gloves so far recently I ordered some showa gloves for replacement.
I'm currently using the 495's. They have extra room in the fingers for undergloves. I also ordered a pair of 720's but with undergloves they are a (too) tight fit. (using size 11/XXL the largest I could order).
I could go with thinner undergloves, but that won't be comfortable, diving in 3-4C (38-40F) temperatures.

What do you guys use as an underglove?

I have been using 720s for a number of years now...while they tend to feel a bit snug for their size, the nitrile material seems to relax/stretch a bit with use, and becomes more comfortable.

For undergloves, I use Dakine Storm liner gloves.

Like ski boots, bulk is not better, blood flow restriction will cause hands and feet to become cold. I use the silicone tubes that came with my Ultimas to allow warm air from my suit to pass through my wrist seals and keep my hands warm.

That is exactly what I'm trying to prevent . . . . . .
If they tend to stretch a bit, then I'll try them with my fleece gloves. Coming months the water temperature will be comfortable enough.
Then hope they stretched enough for the winter . . . .

What do you guys use as an underglove?

I've probably bought 15-20 different gloves over the years. Showa Models, local manufacturers, everything else..
I always went back to the Showa 495. Everything else either was way to tight with under gloves or had way to long fingers.

As underglove i use Enluvas at the moment. I love them. Also got some Fourth Element Halo AR gloves which i've yet to try under water, but they seem _very_ warm.

I wear Showa 720s on every dive, usually with Fourth Element Xerotherm Gloves under them. Sometimes I wear wool gloves, but I don't really notice a difference in temperature.

And you do not experience tightness around the fingers with these?
I see you're from CA, what temperatures do you use them at?

I have used three or four different showas, sitech lobster gloves and sitech mittens. The biggest difference I have ever noticed comes from cutting the wrist seals so that those do not restrict blood flow at all. Wouldn't do deco dives in that configuration, in cold water, or at least I want to have habitat for deco.
At the moment I use hestra heli ski gloves with thin merino wool liners under the mittens and this is the warmest solution so far. I dive under ice so water is cold as it can be.
I also have forth element halo ar gloves, those are ok, bit bulky. Enluva liners are also pretty warm.
With enluva I use 720, halo ar won't fit in 720 and I use 737. Hestra heli ski gloves are decent, when used together with thin merino wool liners those are great.

I see you're from CA, what temperatures do you use them at?

I wear the XL inner gloves and XL 720s. I haven't noticed any tightness. I can easily push the buttons on my camera. Most of my diving in California, Washington, and British Columbia is between 45-55F, 7-12C.

FWIW - I just purchased a new set of primary o-rings and a set of secondary o-rings for the UDGS (non-twist) and the secondary o-ring (which holds the glove onto the glove ring is ~4.25" OD where the old rings coming off the gloves were ~3.5" OD. Perhaps Waterproof is starting to make it easier to mount pvc gloves to the glove rings? The primary sealing rings (going on the glove ring) appear to be the same dimensions. The gloves I am replacing had been mounted since 2018 without issue. I'm hoping I don't have any issues.

I was told that the secondary o-rings should still be ~3.5" and the glove o-rings are ~4.25" so looks like I was just sent the wrong o-rings.
