Does anyone know the difference between the UK 800 rechargable and the Uk 1200 that uses 8 d-cells? I own the Uk800 and have always thought it was a great light but they are not that common and the battery packs (which are 8 d-cells in tandem) are very expensive to replace. I was wondering if you can get the same intensity out of the loose d-cell set up of the 1200

I went with the rechargeable battery pack for this light. I do alot of night diving and it was eating too many batteries. I also use the rechargeable battery pack in my UK 100 Light Cannon
