I too use cave line to attach my bolt snaps to my lights. I do almost all surf entries so i need a connection point i can trust, the cave line is as secure as i will ever need.
As for my spg, i use the o ring / zip tie method. This connection isnt as critical because I know im not losing my spg in the surf if the o ring or zip tie should break.
