fyi that this week there is a few interesting things on aussie tv

in sydney,
Tuesday 04.11.08: Navy Divers, ABC tonight at 8pm i think

Thursday 06.11.08 at 8pm: Catalyst ABC, Seahorses - Port Stephens,
Seahorses
One of the most beautiful and bizarre creatures under the sea must surely be the seahorse. They have long fascinated humans which has done them no favours. More than 25 million dead and live seahorses are traded annually and seahorse habitats are the most threatened in the world. Here in Australia we just dont have enough data to know what kind of state our seahorse populations are in, or how to protect them. Our surfing scientist meets Marine Biologist Dave Harasti who fills in the gaps and we make some surprising discoveries on the way.

Thanks for the reminder almitywife. I am really glad ABC shows most of their programs online now seeing as I lack a TV!

 no tv!!

hubby was very excited because he got to see the bra bags he gave to Dave. Dave says they are the best thing to keep the seahorses in without hurting them but he couldnt find them in the stores - so hubby and i did and bought him about 50 of them!

we'll be seeing Dave on saturday so we can get his autograph :D

I have the internet! :rofl3: The only time I have missed having a TV, was when the World Cup was on a few years back.

Cool! I have not seen the show yet (will on the weekend, iView rocks!) so will keep an eye out for your bra bags :)

With the Navy Divers, my sister knows a few of the guys in that course actually. (She's in the Navy too). So will have to ask her if it is accurate to what goes on! From what she has told me, it sounds like the supervisors in the show were too nice (compared to hers anyway) so maybe they were not showing the full extent of how tough the training is!
