Hi Everyone,

I am booking a trip to caicos and was thinking about staying at the ocean club west, looks like some great deals there.

Question 1. But has anyone stayed there? Some reviews talk about building going on next door, and it sounds like a construction site at 6:30 am...? Anyone have any experances with this?

I guess the next quesiton is we are traveling with a family of 4 and the ocean club west has a one bedroom with a kitchen for 200 dollars. We will cook some of the time because I get tired of eating out every night, and sometiems it just feels good to kick back without having to leave to go to a restarant.

Question 2. Does anyone have any suggestions for hotel accomodations on the beach for a comparable price with a kitchen?

Of course I will be diving with fifi and maybe provo turtle (or is it turtle provo?). Thanks in advance for the help!

I was there in February, 2004 and there was major construction going on in the area. That can be said of much of Grace Bay right now. Development is going on all along the beach. That may be why you are getting such a deal. By the by it is Art Pickering's Provo Turtle Divers.

Stayed at Ocean Club, but not OC West. Wonderful place, the one bedrooms are really little apartments.
Caicos Adventures was a great op, you'll love Fifi. Diving was spectacular.
Sorry I can't be more specific in answering your questions.
Enjoy!

you may want to check out the sands resort. I think they are running a special through the end of the year. Stay 5 nights, 6th & 7th free. Check out their website and click on the one suite deal link. The rates for a 1 bedroom gardenview suite are 250 a night. We didn't hear any construction when we were there last month. Email Caicos adventures and ask them about the 2 free days with one of their packages too.

RobZ is correct. I just got back from Provo, and stayed at the Sands. VERY nice resort -- large rooms, very clean, and with the two-night free deal, it's very cheap. When we booked, they said the deal was just for June, so you may want to check on it (http://www.thesandsresort.com). If that's not available, you might want to look into Coral Gardens. I haven't been there, but it was highly recommended by a guy on our boat. They have sea turtles and stingrays hanging out in the coral right off the shore.

Caicos Adventures is great -- Fifi has a fantastic boat and does a really good job. If only he wore a larger bathing suit... :-) You'll LOVE the diving there! We saw sharks and rays on pretty much every dive, a dolphin (JoJo), and two Flying Gurnards! And the coral is unbelievable!

Welcome to Scubaboard Kengo44! I see that you have seen more of Fifi than you wanted to! Ahhh the French.

Hey.....

I don't know of any shore diving. I've heard there's great snorkeling at Coral Gardens. Caicos Adventures will pick you up at the hotel.

I haven't heard of any shore diving but I don't generally go in for that sort of thing. Caicos Adventures will definitely pick you up at your hotel. Thye generally pickup at around 8:30 a.m. and get you back after 2:00 p.m. Its a long day. As to hotels whats your price range?

I just did that same stuff you are doing. We decided
to go with the Sands. When are you playing to go?
My s.o. is a nondiver also.

Does Caicos let you book trips online?
