My woven gold ring started forming meat-hooks after a few years, so I stopped wearing it. A couple of years ago, while in Key West, I replaced it with titanium. That's my kind of metal. I did not know about tungsten carbide or I'd have considered it. That's a cool metal, too. Gold and silver are, IMHO, just too plain. My wife likes diamonds. They are pretty for sure, but they are not me. Nice simple titanium, though I'll have to look for a bracelet or something from tungsten carbide.
