Tulum airport to Cozumel bag drag

I stayed at a resort near PDC a few weeks ago. The one-way flight from DFW to CUN would have cost about $500 more, total for two, than the flight we found to TQO. We used Canada Transfers to the hotel, and the van cost $110 more ($210 total) and added about 45 minutes to the trip compared to CUN. For us it worked great because the timing of the incoming flight was better, in addition to the savings.

We flew back from CUN and as always, the traffic into the airport was a mess. We had a free (miles) return flight or I would have considered TQO on the way back as well.

When we flew into CUN a week ago Friday, there was a horrible accident on the highway into the airport. First responders were struggling to get on scene. Our driver said at least a two hour traffic jam with many people missing flights. We always give ourselves extra time on the return leg out of CUN.

The Tulum taxi drivers are notorious for their locked in ridiculous fares for tourists. I stated there once, and never again without a rental car!! Their prices are ridiculous!!!
