ChrisM:
Chris, sneaking inon the Tuesday weighers (I'm a Thursday type guy myself). Not sure what your reasons for a time limit are (if you are a girl, I'd say you prob. have a wedding to go to), but every time I've put a time limit on my weight loss, it's always been nothing but a setup for failure.

Anyway, just my .02

A wedding? No, I'm just a goal oriented type of guy. My MO is: Set a goal. Go for it. Set a new goal. However, I agree that 17 pounds in 4 weeks may be a bit optimistic.

All the divers in the group are great buddies! :) For some of us, one of our motivators to shed the "soft" weight is to not have the picture taken from so far back to ensure we were all included in whole ;)

Ok official weigh in finally, it was a 2# loss, but i think some of that is muscle from not exercising as much as i wanted to. Down to 229# now, only another 9# to the first target, might be shifting that target soon to 210# which would be my lightest in 13years, so i am 55% to my first target and 36% to the final one from my start weight on this SB thing. People are still generally saying that i look thinner than i used to, which i think is a good thing.

...got on the scale this morning at exactly the same weight as this time last week. I guess I'll post a 0 for this week?

Tom, I like the quote;

"The greatest discovery of my generation is that man can alter his life simply by altering his attitude of mind."
- William James

with that said, I did not budge either, another 0. And I even passed on the donuts at work. I need to work on my attitude.
