I appoint texdiveguy as the President of The technical deep divers club after all he has been to 173ffw off WP private. By the way texdiveguy when you pulled off that dive, what was your complete dive plan.....gases used-volumes//deco schd.//dive run times//thermal wear specs.,,,,:D

I have to pass on that nomination.....but thanks for the vote.....the DIMWIT party keeps me plenty busy. :D

Do not feel alone, I thought the same thing on my ISO thread.

Word of caution:
Keep a close eye on that texdiveguy I think he is the leader of the divers from comedy central.
Hey! I gave you plenty of good info on the LT riverbed!!!

why is everyone giving me a hard time about this?
i thought i was asking a fairly simple, straightforward question.
and don't anyone dare try to answer this.

i will redefine, stipulate that a deep dive is any dive on a bottle of CO2 with a depth greater than 28.52168954327 feet but less than a depth of 68906.43216 feet.
I think the biggest question is, "What is deep to you?" Anytime I'm out with a bunch of people and someone says, "Who is diving deep?" I always ask, "What is deep to you?" I'm not being a smarta**, just wanting to know. I bet my definition of deep is different than yours. I've been just below 200' before, and routinely dive below 150' at Travis, but I don't consider myself a "deep diver." Others think that's deep.

So, what is deep to you?

Technical is easy for me. Anytime you're diving in a real or virtual overhead environment...cave, wreck, deep. You can add a bunch more caveats...doubles, stage bottles, travel gas, deco, etc...but that's the bottom line.

My statement was not directed to you, Zinc or Ron C by any means. I had all them Wise-N-hiemers peices of crap in my cross-hairs.

Dave

129 feet is not deep.

I've done deco stops deeper than that:D

Yes, but you dive on doubled al-80's, so it doesn't count. When you get your doubled steel 140's pumped to 300 bar, and wear a drysuit in the summer, then you will be able to join the club.:mooner:

Frank

PS. I'm not a member of the club, either.

Sounds like the RB vis would almost justify a trip, I was going to make the trek solo but ran into a snafu I could not get my 80 filled. So I am hoping the vis will be good next week.
Are you going to be there?
