Back in February, someone asked the question about tailoring the Lavacore shirts. Unfortunately there was no definitive answer, so I thought I would try again.

I bought the shirt based upon my largest measurement, but there is so much extra material in the waist area. I was thinking of adding in some darts, but am curious what type of thread I need to use. Obviously traditional cotton thread would just break when pulled too taut.

Any tips or tricks would be appreciated. Seems the Lavacore as-is is no warmer than a rash guard. Doesn't make sense.

Thanks.

Eileen
