Truk, shore based

I'm contemplating Truk, but I need shore based. What are we talking for boat travel times, etc.

Any suggestions on lodging?

Dive ops?

Any and all advice welcomed.

I ran into a guy this past July in Turks & Caicos that did shore based in Truk, and dang if I can't find his business card!!!

There are only two options that I'm aware of. Ths Blue Lagoon resort and the Truk Stop. Both ahve web sites with a lot of information on them. Personaly, I would recommend the Blue Lagoon. I have stayed at both places, and the Blue Lagoon is nicer. I still enjoyed both places, but I didn't dive from either. My diving was from a liveaboard both times.
