My dive buddy, Blue Hen, and I got there about 10 AM. A group of double tank divers were loading their trucks so we had the spring to ourselves. We hit 67 feet which were told is about 10 feet below normal due to the drought. As is usual with the springs, there isn't a whole lot to see. Went into the run and through the swim throughs to the scuttled ship and out to the edge of the river. Saw some 4 inch long baby flounders which suprised me to see in fresh water, a couple of carp, one turtle and a bream. The ship had about 2 feet of water over it so no chance for the "Deloach photo".
The park is very diver friendly with a rinse area and "gear up" stands by the parking spots. The attendant checked our C cards. The walk down to the springs is a handicap ramp with switch backs and hand rails which could help you for the walk back.
Stopped by Cave Excursions dive shop which is more of a "virtual LDS" with no signs on the road to tell you where it is. It is N. of the Hwy 51 river bridge directly across from the Agriculture Check Station. It is next to a house and looked like part of the garage.
