I would not worry one bit about any of the ABC islands. Venezuela is not a threat, period.
 
Hi all:

Anyone traveled or traveling to Bonaire recently? Is the current US military activity in the area something to be concerned about? Have any Americans had a negative experience on the island? I’m a nervous traveler with an upcoming trip.

My non-diving friends think it is crazy for me to go.

Thanks for any insight.
Bonaire is one of the safest, friendliest, laid-back islands in the Carribean. I've been going there since 1987 and I'd go today without a concern.
 


A ScubaBoard Staff Message...

I deleted the most egregious post, but many posts in this thread skirt the line. The OP asked a legit question and it was answered legitimately. If you want to make a political statement, there is a place on ScubaBoard for that.
