We are planning a trip in June & plan to do some dives with Raven Charters. Also plan to hit Largo and Marathon. Can anyone give us suggestions or opinions?
Thanks,
Dawn

Hey Dawn,
Great time to be coming to the Fl. Keys. I have heard of Raven
divers, but not dove with them. As far as diving in Key Largo, you
may want to check out Paradise divers. www.paradisecharters.net
Two great dives are Molasses reef and the Benwood wreck for
sheer numbers of fish!
In Marathon, I would rec. Tropic Isle divers, both operations
cater to smaller numbers of divers. This always adds a certain
level of comfort. www.tropicisledive.com
In Islamorada, Lady Cyana divers is a good operation although
more of a cattle boat. www.ladycyana.com
Hope this helps, enjoy yourselve's!

Thanks for the info Scubabear, Hi Walter,
My husband is setting this trip up with another family. The wife is not a diver so the area/hotel is important to her and her children. I don't care where we stay, but seems to be a place called Harbor Lights. Just would like some dive info too. I need atleast 30 feet so that I don't aggravate my ears. Can't stand the 12ft and up stuff. It's pretty but hard to handle. I like good boat staff that give info and help out. I'll check out the suggestions from Scubabear. Thanks!

Dawn,

I'm not up on nice hotels, but I might be able to assist with the diving.

In Key Largo, I recommend Divers City MM 104. They run an efficient operation with a friendly staff.

In Tavernier, I like Conch Republic.

In Marathon, you can't beat Captain Banny.

I'll supply links when I get home.

Have your non diving friend check out the Rain Barrell while you're diving.

Hope you have a grand time.

Thanks Walter,
I'll check out the info. Sounds like we can't help but keep busy. My daughter will be doing her open water dives. She will be taking Padi instruction in May.
Thanks again,
Dawn
