Does anyone know of a trimix software upgrade for the Sunnto Vytek computers? I'm certain with all of the hackers out there, someone must have written one by now.

I don't think there is one. And even if there was, you would then be forced to use whatever profile the software written by Sunnto or whoever did the patch and this may not be the deco strategy you would want to use.

I would advise that you turn your Vytec into gauge mode, get some good deco software such as decoplanner, vplanner, etc. and then use your computer in gauge mode as a bottom timer/depth gauge in conjunction with your software generated dive profile. Then you can adjust this profile based on your personal experience with the dives it generated, conservatism, adding deep stops, etc, through your experience.

I doubt there is one out there, and even if there was I wouldn't use it. Given their reputation on nitrox dives, a trimix dive on a Suunto would keep you in the water for a LOOOONNNNNGGGG time.

Yeah, it's called "gauge mode" and Deco Planner from GUE :D. If you feel the need to use a deco computer, don't be a cheapskate. Buy the proper tool for the job.

Thanks for the input. I'm using it in guage mode with dive planner software now, I was just curious if the software existed, not the wisdom of using it.
