I will be vacationing with my family in Grand Cayman may 16th through the 23rd and would love some recommendations for diving instruction and certifications. My sons have no experience and hope to get lessons, take dives and get certified. Any suggestions?

Use Don Fosters. They have a little, but deep pool right next to the ocean. It also has a very close appreoach to the wall and a somewhat protected beach area about 20' deep. Dive with them or I think Red Sail on the East end. That area has the least traffic and easier access to the N-sS sides of the island. I always rent a car and stay on the East.

Red Sail is at Grand Cayman Beach Suites, and the boat picks you up on the beach. I used them for my PADI OW cert about 6 months ago, and had a blast. The hotel is great and the diving and instruction was great. See if you can do the class portion online and just do your dives while you are there. I didn't and it is kind of torture sitting inside a classroom in paradise.

I am planning on another trip to Grand Cayman soon, and will use the hotel and Red Sail again.

A friend used those guys and was very happy.

We just dove with John Frederick (Freddy) and Epic Divers on Wednesday. We were traveling with a mixed group of divers including a Discover Scuba student. He and Jax were amazing! I am very particular about my scuba experiences and found Freddy to be up to the challenge. Epic Divers is the "new guy on the block", but I really recommend them.
