Transpac II and "Tec" lumbar support

I am thinking of replacing the "Sport" lumbar support which came as standard with my Transpac II. I find it somewhat big and bulky and adds unwanted buoyancy and weight when wet. Has anyone used the "Tec" lumbar support which is available as an option? Is it significantly smaller and less bulky yet provide enough padding for the back?

It is significantly smaller, but looks like it will provide the required support. I do not know about the reduced bouyancy.
