Hi NC Wreckers,
I'm up in DC but I've been thinking of taking a long weekend and doing my AOW in N.C. -- either Morehead or Wilmington areas. There is something to be said for doing the deep dive at 100 feet instead of 75, and the wreck dive on an actual wreck instead of a submerged school bus. There's also something to be said for a 3mm suit and good viz.
Anyone care to sound off on who they think has high quality training? In Morehead I've looked at Discovery, and Olympus and in Wilmington, Aquatic Safaris. These just happen to be ones I found on the web that looked decent. Feel free to mention others.
I am PADI OW but I really don't care what the agency is, as long as it's good training that offers the skills I want: night, deep, nav, wreck, and if I could bundle nitrox with it, that would be an advantage.
Also, do any dive shops do a package with a hotel? Or do you know of any cheap hotels near the dive shops?
Thanks for all the info.
