I have two low-pressure steel 72 tanks, and would like to trade them for one high-pressure steel 100 or 120, or anything in-between. One was hydroed September 2007, the other December 2010. Both had recent visual. One has a loose boot -- I can take care of that if needed. Send me a PM.

Hate to tell ya Mello but.....I don't know if you'll find someone interested in those 2250's. I guess if someone pumped their own air they would use um. I know I cringe everytime I fill my 40 pony at full price!

Sigh. Seems you are right.

Let me know if you have any luck. I too would love to trade my 2 lp 72s for a larger steel tank. :D

Good luck!

X2 (although I do have a set of doubled 72's that are fun to dive.)

Any interest in trading for a PST 95? LP but fill to 3000 and you get 107.9 cft.

What is the born date on the tanks? Do they have + hydro on them?

They might make a nice set small set of doubles for someone.

Sadly, I dont have any HP100s i'm looking to split up but If I did have an extra I would have taken you up on that offer.

Which shops will fill it to 3000? Yes, I am interested if can be sure someone will fill it.

They are 1975 and 1981, although valves are much newer

What is + hydro?

A + hydro rating is an additional test performed at the time of hydro testing that allows a tank to be filled 10% higher than the normal rated pressure.

There would be a + symbol next to the most recent hydro date stamp. In the case of lp 72s, I belive that would allow the tank to be filled to 2250 + 225 = 2475 psi.

I also belive that in order to hold 72cubic feet, a lp 72 must be + rated. Otherwise, I belive they hold about 65ish cubic feet.
