Looking for a new light for travel / warm water use. I like that this one takes AAA's so I can go with rechargeable. Worried that the beam angle might be a little narrow. Was looking at the Tovatec Wide Angle Torch which I like everything about except that it runs on CR123's.

The 123 batteries aren't hard to find [not as common as AAA's] but they last longer...Go to Dive lights .com...there is a Tovatec light that has an adjustable beam [two adjustments, narrow and wide, using an easy slide adjuster]....Rechargeables are nice but they have a tendency, no matter how charged up to 'fall off' quickly instead of a gradual degradation....

Thanks, but understand how rechargeable batteries function in that respect. The adjustable Tovatec is a heavier light and also runs on the CR123's.
