I suspect that, as pointed out earlier there is more danger from gas lines than batteries.

Under normal circumstances, leaky pipes and joints is where gas is at a disadvantage compared to elicktrickery. But sparks on the contacts inside cardboard walls aren't really that much better.
 
From the latest issue of Which magazine (Oct 2019) on unknown brand chargers (from Amazon and eBay) - They tested 35 chargers from Amazon, 75% failed electrical safety checks, 11 chargers that looked like Apple chargers - 8 failed, 11 of 12 USB travel adaptors failed electrical safety checks, 6 of 11 power banks (5 of which had no thermal protection).
 
Not a guaranteed fix, but better than nothing, just ordered one of these bags.
