Hey All,

Looking for information. I have a Kraken NR1500Z light but no battery. From what I can tell it requires a 21700 Lithium cell. I'm looking for one but all I'm finding are flat top style and it looks like the light needs a button top style.

Does anyone have one of these or similar Kraken light? Would a flat top style work?

Thanks in advance

Just buy the right battery from Kraken:

Sure you can get a 2 pack of random Chinese cells on Amazon for a few dollars less. I'm assuming Kraken does some level of due diligence and QC on their battery supplier, so you're also paying for that. Or you can roll the dice on Amazon.

But we're talking about like $20-30 here, not like it's a major purchase. Personally, I'll pay a few bucks for peace of mind. If we were talking about a $100+ difference or something, it'd obviously be a different conversation.

Main reason I'm asking is so I can try to source locally before ordering online. I'm told the 18650 and 21700 cells are also used in some Vapes, and confirmed the vape store in my town does sell both cells (Samsungs, not cheap chinese cells), but only the flat top style. But wanted to see if anyone knew if the lights required a button stop style or if a flat top style would work before I bought one. They are generally not returnable if the cell doesn't fit.
