I remember one year when the sun's rays bent around the earth just right to give the moon a blood red tinge. Another I've seen since was just dark, but it's still neat to watch the moon dissapper. :mooner:

You should be able to see the entire eclipse from anywhere east of El Paso.

Here you go.

Got it from here. That page has lots of info on the eclipse for those interested.

Guess that counts me out....shucks
Maybe not? The link that MtnDiver gave us shows totality in the Pacfic Time Zone. Maybe you'll get a good partial, at least? Look and see what you make of it.

Gret link, MtnDiver - thanks! :thumb:

Looks to me like HI is right on the U3 line which has totality ending at moonrise. You might get to see the total eclipse, but you will at least see a very full (90%-95%) partial eclipse. Ought to look really cool with how the moon looks magnified through the atmosphere at moonrise.

Enjoy!

Will I see anything here in Houston? What time? I work my 2nd job Wednesday night so this might work out for me. :)

Boy, wouldn't it cool to be on top of Maui's big crater watching that come up. If you're on Oahu, you might want to rush to the east side lookout. (It's been too long. Forget the names?!)

We have a lot of clouds forecast for tomorrow night!
