Torpedo 2000 question

Any current or former owners of the Torpedo 2000 here?

I have a question but but no manual to check: Is there supposed to be an o-ring inside the slot where the nose cone fits over the battery compartment, or does it just lock down against the bottom of the slot?

I had one years ago....If I remember correctly there was a large O-ring that the nose cone sealed against at the Bottom of the slot
