A foolish and ignorant comment. Proof you’ve little or no diving experience.

What on earth makes you think it proves that?

Safety is a key aspect of diver training. An instructor will impart structure and process.

Modern society likes safety. I don't wear a seatbelt in my car, I don't wear a helmet on my bicycle, yet I'm still here after 47 years. Fun first, economy second, safety third. Safety is for wimps. Were you one of the kids beaten up at school?

Google will impart some information interspersed with complete bollocks. You won’t know the difference.
You'd have to be pretty stupid not to know which things are true.

Good luck, you appear to need it.
Evidently not, since I'm still alive.

BTW the last person I observed on a boat who made up their own non-standard equipment configuration and dubious skills died that day. I had a lovely two hour dive.
It is entirely possible to do something daft. But.... funny how I hear of deaths from people who followed all the regulations. All that overpriced training and they died anyway.
