I need to make alot of bands and have been using a sander and nail to sharpen the rubber, but is very slow way of doing it. Does anyone know of a tool that sharpens them or even a quicker way? Thanks

Not sure i understand what you are doing? What sort of band are you making? Like a set two hold two scuba tanks together? Got a picture of what you are making or the problem you are having with it?

Sounds like an interesting project....just can't picture what it is.

I presume that you are tapering the cut ends of the rubber like the genuine Biller bands. I suppose the theory is that this allows the band to lie flatter and thus be easier to load, and also to reduce friction when fired. They do look prettier, but, in practice, band ends which are cut off square work just fine.

a bench grinder?

A bench grinder will do the trick and do it fast.
