"How would you respond to the assertion that you and Richie took credit and fame for the essential work, discovery, and achievements of several unnamed researchers and divers?"

Question 2 will relate to the climax scene in both Shadow Divers and "Hitler's Lost Sub".

I would respectfully ask that ANYONE asking John a question, please keep the needless drama OUT of your questions. He is a guest, and I would expect you to TREAT him like a guest. The ToS still applies and inflammatory questions such as this are simply not needed. :no

I'm all for civility, but does John have some special status on the board that the rest of us do not? Your post suggests that this is the case, if so, can you explain why? Seems to me we are all "guests" or none of us are--shouldn't the TOS in regards to civility apply to all irrespective of celebrity status?

John is to be treated as civilly as we treat ANY user on ScubaBoard.com. Inflammatory remarks, trolling and baiting are clearly against the ToS and John's status as a celebrity does not deny him these rights. Tonka feels that he somehow has the right to be abusive to someone JUST BECAUSE he doesn't like them. Abuse will not be tolerated towards any user, except of course, towards me.

So I have a couple of questions for John. How did you meet Pete?

Is there a particular dive or subject that you are really looking forward to getting to do in the future that you haven't thus far been able to do for one reason or another?

Although JC is a member on this board like any other member with respect to the TOS, in many ways he is not in that there is a profound interest in his specific views and it is in the community's interest that he stick around. If JC likes it here and intends to stay, might I suggest there be an All Things Chatterton subforum where, much like manufacturer forums, members can pose comments and questions specifically to JC.

We would love to have a "Shadow Divers" sub forum and I suggested this to John in the Keys at one time. He only need say the word. We have other members of the dive team on :sblogo: and I am sure we can get them to contribute as well.

Well, my Shadow Divers and The Last Dive finally came in last night - so now I better get reading so some of the interesting questions in the last several posts mean something! I think it is awesome that JC is here, and although he should be treated like any other SB user I still think that an author of such a book will definitely be revered by me!
