I recently moved to Toledo and am looking for a LDS to take some speciality classes at and get into diving in the local quarries. I am considering going through either "Aqua Hut" or "Diver's Paradise Scuba & Snorkeling". Just wondering if there is anyone on here that can comment on either establishment and give me some recommendations. Thanks.

You may want to try Sea Level Scuba. I sat in on a PSI class that the owner and some instructors were taking. Seemed like good guys. I also know the guy that teaches their technical classes and he pretty squared away.

They're in Oregon or Northwood and seem to be an active bunch (I'm always getting emails from them about local trips and such).

pesonally, i got certified throught Aqua Hut. I was happy with my instructor and it was half the price that Divers Paradise was at that time.
Call Jeff at the Reynolds rd. loc. and be sure to stop out and check out the remodel.
Tell 'em Tom Mier sent ya. Dont know if it'll get ya anything but it might get me something ;-)

I have personal experience with Diver's Paradise and Sea Level Scuba. My vote is for Sea Level. Dale, the owner, is an incredible guy. Great teacher and super nice. He has a website as well at www.sealevelscuba.net It's an SDI/TDI shop. I've taken a few specialties there and will take advanced nitrox/deco through there next year. Can't go wrong with them. And I dive with them often. There is a very active bunch of divers through that shop. Dale also is the only trimix blender around I believe. Great place.
