2) If a person owns a piece of land do they own it all the way down to the core of the earth?

I would say yes, but the piece would get smaller and smaller as you went down. You also own the airspace up to the ozone layer as I recall.

For the brail thing, a lot of blind people used to use cabs to go to the ATM. Much more secure than doing the walkup if you can't see ....

Why are they called "Apartments" when they are all pushed together?
Boundary ALERT!!!!! This statement will make no sense to anyone speaking the Queen's English because the word is spoken "Flat".

Why are they called flats if they are at least 8' tall, shouldn't they be called squares? :06:

In the U.S., you own the land, but you have restricted use unless you purchased the mineral rights. In the U.S. again, the Feds own the airspace. That's why I can fly over your house (we practice helicopter autorotations in pastures frequently down to about 3 feet, and as long as we don't touch the ground or harm the structures, we're legal and not trespassing).

No, really, you can't do that at my house. I'll PM you my address if you'd like to try it though... :eyebrow:. Certainly you can fly over it, but there are minimums. At 3' you are invading the land owners privacy. I think that it is either overlooked where you are or the land owners don't care / or are unaware. Tell me, could you make a "bust" based on something you saw while doing an autorotation drill?

I would bet that it would be considered tresspassing if you were below the height of the highest structure on the property. At a minimum I would think that flying below the fence line, 6' generally, would be illegal. Since the fence clearly marks the boundry (including the airspace). Imagine that you hooked a balloon to yourself and floated into someones backyard down to 2'. I promise you would end up with a ticket in my town.

Scroll down a bit to the def of Land Ownership in CA. I don't know about the rest of you, but we do own from the center of the earth to infinity ;) . Course, planes can pass through. I don't know much about how the laws work on that... I assume it is more like an easement.

Oops. Please ignore.

Why do you park in a driveway, but drive in a parkway?

How come you recite plays, and play at recitals. Also, you rehearse for plays, and play in rehersals.

I promise if anyone did this in my yard I would set fireworks off in the direction of the helicopter. Then maybe let out the dogs.
