In prep for my OW cert water classes next month I bought the required snorkle goodies and have been building my confidence and stamina for the past couple of weeks by swimming three hours/week. I saw on another thread (that I can't locate)someone who had a video on the use of fins. A search on Amazon.com didn't turn up what I thought might fill the bill. Anyone have any suggestions? I don't want to pick up any bad habits that I could prevent. I'm up to 1200 meters in an hour, half free style and half with snorkle/fins, but don't feel I'm very efficient with them.. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Have a great weekend!

Your very welcome. I am not the most coordinated person on earth and I could never fin backwards till I was given that website. Its much easier when its shown clearly and you have something to go by. Best of luck :)

I think you'll have no problem with the swim test. Unless you tell your instructor you swim that much...........then he or she may "test" you a bit more.

Happy Diving

Thanks SHRSWNM. Great site. Good luck in your efforts. I've sure picked up a lot of valuable information thanks to the contributions of more knowledgeable divers.

Hey Subvet644 welcome to scubaboard. Where you on the Lewis and Clark? I was on 642/654.

Enjoy your openwater class.
