time to cruise

aright this is a tough one im sure,,,,,
im going on a princess cruise in feb. of 05. ....western carib, here are the stops, princess cays, ocho rios, grand cayman, and cozumel. here is the question, where to dive, my wife, god bless her, is allowing 2 dives, but we have a 7 and 9 yr old who want to snorkle with me, GREED :devil_3: says dive grand cayman and cozumel but time will not allow for me to take kids and wife to sting ray city for them to snorkle with me!!!! any suggestions? i guess ill have to go 1 at cozemel but where do i go for the 2nd? :06:

It will help you to know that Princess does NOT offer scuba at Princess Cays, so you can cross this off your list of places to dive. The snorkeling isn't very good there either, IMHO. It is a great day at the beach kind of port, however.

Also, Jamaica doesn't come to mind when someone asks about decent Caribbean diving. Being asked to buy pot does come to mind though.

Coz is a must dive stop, but you should have plenty of time to hang with the family after the morning dives. The wife and kids were to Chankanaab park for the Dolphin Swim and I met them there in the afternoon after diving with http://www.bluextseadiving.com/, A recommended dive op. They kids can snorkel with you at Chankanaab in the afternoon.

In Grand Cayman, maybe you can do a one tank dive at the stingray city dive site, then go the the stingray city snorkel site and snorkel with the rest of the family.

Well, the easy choices are GC and Coz.

Question is - have you ever been to Grand Cayman?

If you haven't - then do yourself a favour and do the stingray city snorkel - it really is one of lifes greatest adventures. Sure you can dive it too, but it's not that different than the snorkling experience. Trust me - if it's everyones first time - the memories of the family at Stingray City will last a lot longer than those of your wall dive.

So, that leaves you with OR and Coz! Not a tough one at all!!
