Sounds to me like you have a poorly organized "group" (don't even know who's going that you worked a discount for that couldn't show up on time (he did say show at 6, which means at the boat, across the street from the dive shop) which pushed the Dixie Diver employees buttons, who took it too far and became unprofessional. Sure sounds like no one is innocent here, I'd say the best course of action is for both parties to chalk it up as experience and move on.
I have had wonderful experiences with Dixie Divers, all the staff were pleasant, worked with me making payments and doing paperwork and are my preferred operator when I want to dive in the area.
