Threads in my drysuit zipper

So I've been accumulating threads in the teeth of my YKK zipper (metal). Am I best to cut them out with a razor blade or carefully burn them?

I burn them, zipper closed usually works best.

It’s sort of a see and adapt sort of thing, can’t say for sure without seeing it, just be careful with the rubber sealing surface.
