I can second LumbaLumba on Pulau Weh, Indonesia. Quite a small island with little do to outside diving, but you won't be bored 'cause you'll be diving all the time. Diving is challenging too, so great to get experience guiding, and most of the time there's a class going on too for you to assist on.
The diving is fantastic and the shop is setup very nicely. Spacious, clean and very comfortable :)

Things to look for when selecting an internship/DM course

-What is expected of you in terms of work? (scrubbing toilets, helping out with bookings, filling tanks etc.)
- Do you have to pay for your dives? How many dives are included with the course?
- Will you be mainly assisting in courses (very useful if you intend to go on with your IDC) or will you also get the chance to just DIVE and practice guiding certified divers?
- How busy is the shop with courses?
- How much time do you have, and how much time does the shop want from you?
- Is there anything in particular that falls outside of the normal DM curriculum, such as gear maintenance, gas blending, photography, sales etc. that you are interested in and can get experience in to make you more employable in the future?
