there is a slight problem with your response though. J spot like me is from canada and no matter how much we try we just cant get those palm trees to grow here worth a darn. once august arrives and the temp starts to dip they just pick up roots and head south.

Actually I believe J-spot was talking about the beans in a bag which probably are available in Canada, of course visiting Roatan and raving about boil in a bag beans is kind of like Visiting Tim Hortens and thinking they had visited a quality Canadian bakery. Now Dunkin Doughnuts, that may be different:D.
No Honduran worth their weight, Which can be substantial, would serve boil in a bag beans.

You can buy whole coconuts in any decent grocery or fruit stand in Canada eh!
Tim Horton is for the ROC, Dunkin Donuts is now owned by a
Quebec corporation.;)

Of course yo can but you will need 20 of those brown dried out things to grind 1/2 a cup or so of coconut milk from, although the water inside is OK with some Flor de Cana rum
By the way, A quebec corporation does own all the franchise rights to DD in Canada but the do not own DD, Or Dunkin Brands.

Belmont, ' What was your reply??? Oh yea, you had none. Figured as much

In my opinion, negativity and regular attempts to harass people go against the spirit and purpose of this board. Please consider focusing on being an asset the these discussions.
Thanks,

Thanks,
Your so right, certainly no one is perfect and sometimes we all may post inaccurate information but it would be nice if , when brought to their attention, they had a reply.

I can't follow thread on an hourly basis, I try to devote my spare time to diving.
Often when I put something up the thread has cooled off because I participate at odd hours.

You are right about Dunkin Donuts not being owned by a Quebec corporation. They are in fact master franchisees here.

I was ribbing our friends from the ROC (Rest of Canada) about the cult like veneration Tim Horton's has there.

About the dried up things (coconuts) you mentioned: you can find pretty fresh coconuts up here because we have many active communities from the West Indies and south east Asia that keep their traditional cuisine. You would be surprised of the variety of foodstuff found in Montreal.

BTW, I went on your house's web site a few months ago, pretty nice place. Will certainly consider one day when I head up your way.

Cheers

By the way, please do not feel I was trying to be anti Canadian or anything of the sorts, My wife who is from North of the borger would beat me silly. :D
Anyway,
Morning rain has stopped, Second tank is on my deck waiting and Surface interval is over for now, Enjoy your day folks.

Yes, we Americans know that you all have different States up there besides Quebec :eyebrow:

I, myself, live just down the way from Aurora, home of Stan Makita's DoNuts.

I have never seen a "real" donut in Roatan.

In France they say "beignet", in Quebec we say "beigne"

I didn't know Stan Mikita also sold power tools??
