I was just going thru some shots from the the Staits, and I thought these images might be of interest.

While not up to my buddy John's usual Jupiter, FL standards, he was still proud of his first catch that had Claws.

ChrisP in tech mode showing good form and no "danglies". For you DIR types, yes his light is in the wrong hand.

Chris and I did a mild penetration of one of the wrecks -we focused on not stirring up the silt covering this wreck from the 1800's. The huge timbers were in amazzing condition.

A parting shot - 50'+ vis. on deck of ship sunk more than 125 years ago.

do it easy:
Excellent pictures- is that the Barnum??
I've been looking at those pic too, trying to figure out what wrecks he's on. On the assumption that kidsdream is referring to the Straits of Mackinac, I'm thinking the 2nd pic is the Barnum or Minneapolis, the 3rd pic the bow of the Barnum or maybe the Ward, and the 4th pic the Maitland or Young? Great pics, none the less. Kidsdream, do tell.

A little info on the images.

The 2nd and 3rd image are from the Barnum. The stern was getting all silted up from some of the divers only stopping their descent after "hitting" the bottom/deck of the ship. The bow was still reasonable clean and nobody had taken a look below decks before my buddy Chris and I.

The 4th image was indeed from the Maitland.
