Hi Everyone

I have posted this thread here as i am after technical minded responses. I have dove jacket style bcd for a long time for single tank diving but want to upgrade to a bp/w. I am thinking about purchasing the X Deep Zeos system. I just would like some advice please and if anyone has any expierence with x deep equipment or hydros double tank system or the zeos single tank system then your reviews would be greatly recieved and read.

So, DirDirect :: Wing Systems :: Single Tank Wings :: XDeep Zeos Single Wing this is the wing.
the full system, DirDirect :: Wing Systems :: Single Tank Wings :: XDeep Zeos Single Wing System
and the backplate and harness DirDirect :: Wing Systems :: Backplates & Harnesses :: XDeep Backplate & Harness

So i noticed on some single tank wings that you do not need and sta , single tank adapter , but this system comes with one, just would be interested in your opinions on seperate sta vs built in sta.

The backplate, does thicknedd really matter apart from how it affects your weight and trim, ie , does steel tanks require a steel backplate?

Would you think that this system comes with bolts to mount the sta to the bp/w?
Would you need bolts or just put the cams through the bp/w?

Any other thourghts appreciated.

Thankyou Guys

You can buy a complete set of Dive Rite for US$299.00 at DGX.
SS plate is extra.
Some of the BP in the market would not take cam bands therefore you need STA.

For what it's worth, I love the Zeos, which I got with a SS backplate. It seems really solidly built, with the double-layer wing like the Stealth has. I also like that it's not covered with silly-looking blue H's. You don't need bolts. You do need to buy some cams.

But it's my first BP/W, and I've only used it for a handful of dives so far, so take that with a big old grain of salt, and I admit that I can't offer any helpful comparisons. And I'm sure you can get something much cheaper that would be good, as I'm sure people will advise.

Nevermind Dr. Lecter. He has it out for xDeep. Not without some justification, mind you. I think that certain distributors who shall not be named (because it's obvious who they are) stink up xDeep's reputation around here.

lol I have zero experience with xDeep's BP&W systems and was actually going to comment on the whole STA/BP thickness/etc line of questions. Then I remembered it Declan and saw the bit about whether steel tanks required steel BPs...and I just gave up.
