Thinking about Sipadan in August

Hi, I am a reasonably newbie diver (30 dives) from US. I am thinking about going to Sipadan for a week in August as a side trip from Hong Kong (need to go to HK for a wedding - I am originally from HK). I am wondering

- How is the condition in Sipadan in August? Is it high season? Will I have trouble booking for dives? I am thinking of staying on Mabul and I wonder how crowded it would be

- I have been looking at pricing online. Some HK dive travel agents quoted pretty competitive prices to Sipadan from Hong Kong online. Are they legit? Has anyone use them before for booking travel? How was the experience?

You should book ahead as the number of divers allowed to dive Sipadan each day is restricted. Sipadan is good all year round. Try Diversity Extreme. he is an old hand with Sipadan . Contact chooitan@gmail.com

Condition in August is great too consider high season, you can consider stay in Mabul, Kapalai or Mataking, I will suggest stay in Mabul.
