A shop by the name of Aquanauts in Pattaya Thailand have some really motivated and well educated Instructors. They do have a very nice and big dive boat with plenty of room and the food is descent also.

I did mine with moskito on Phi Phi island. Great diving, great boats and experienced staff. I haven't dived on the east coast yet but I hear it's nowhere near the quality of the Andaman sea.

Yes, Samui/Koh Tao isn't as good as Phuket/PP. And I would for sure avoid Pattaya!

In my idea, the quality of diving in Phuket is best. And there are very positive comments here on a new diveshop, Sea Bees Kata, with experienced instructors.
