OK- I'm gonna fall for this hook line and sinker....What books?? I've only been there once and the only thing I saw was a couple of sleeping dogs and the alligator. Didn't stay long because of all the mosquitos ( it was during the daytime so I can't imagine how bad they are when the sun sets). I might consider another trip to Coconuts if these "big picture books" are worth it..as long as they aren't in the bathroom..LOL

Oh, nooooo!!!!! you didn't just ask..... :jb:

Oh yes...very captivating reading. In fact, I never noticed any mosquitos...or much of anything else even my margarita! Just ask Coco at the bar for one of the "books"..Make sure to take the wife/girlfriend in case she wants to leave her mark in one...!!! *GBG*

Coconuts....Period

Nothing beats a two tank dive followed by a trip over to the eastside to relax with a cervesa and a "good" book overlooking the water. The sights are breath taking and the view from the highest point on the island isn't bad either:) DSC05604.jpg

Mike, you're killing me this week. Literally. I almost choked to death laughing at your yoda comment and now you've started this....I clued Pidgie in, as I'm pretty sure she's not as interested as you all are said books :eyebrow: LOL

I like an afternoon shore dive, then happy hour at BA. Maybe a night shore dive.
Hire a taxi for the afternoon to take you to the "other side" for turtle digging or just exploring.
Here something not mentioned yet, how about a massage.
Need dental work done, there are some good dentists around at very good prices.
If dancing is your thing there are some clubs for that as well.
The new CMC offers quite a few medical services, might be worth a check up.
I enjoy an early morning bike ride south of town, or an sunrise or sunset kayak paddle before/after diving.

It makes me very sad to know you are missing out on this right now!! :(

I was beginning to wonder if I was the only one that noticed Yoda was visiting scubaboard :D

rent a scooter and do the tour of the island ;)

My better half actually mentioned this the yesterday when I was telling her about this thread. I must say though...I'm a bit gunshy. When in Roatan last March I saw a dude get pretty jacked up driving a scooter. No matter how good of a rider you are, local drivers can still take you out. We decided just to rent a car for a day.... diving with road rash doesn't sound very pleasurable. I might feel a bit more comfy if I was solo riding, but with my girl on the back, I would feel horrible if anything happened to her.
