That's why you should never take your camera in the water with you. Leave in the truck where it is safe.

Did a dive once at Alice In Wonderland. Saw a bright shiny tin can on the bottom and thought I would pick it up and put it in the trash later.

Nope - it was owned by an octopus and he stood his ground at HIS shiny can. No way was he giving it up to me!

DD, didn't any of us have a camera on that dive? I know I don't have any photos of that can and octy

I know I passed over that can, ahead of you, and wondered how such a can could be so shiny on one end, and already encrusted in corals at the other end. Never realized what I had completely missed seeing the octopus' arm wrapped around the can until I noticed everyone else, excited, clustering around you to see. and I turned back to see what I had missed.

:shakehead: Boy, didn't I feel unobservant that day! :shocked2:

It was funny watching him try to hide again, without losing his "prize"!

An oldie... But a goodie! I completely forgot about this thread... lol

I was in Bonaire the week of June 15. I did lock the front door of my room, but left the sliding glass doors open for the entire week (entered and left through those doors)... not a victim... Everything was as I left it, but even better due to housekeeping
