This is yet another NAUI vs PADI vs SSI vs everyone else question, but with a twist.

Has anyone every had their NAUI certification refused by a tour or charter group? Of course, this is assuming that the dive in question was within the prudent limits of that certification. ...

By the way, I chose NAUI because they seem very prevalent here in the panhandle of Florida, the school my friends recommended prefers to teach NAUI to newbies, and because they offer skindiving instruction for basic OW. If I move to an area without a good NAUI school, does PADI recognize NAUI certs for continuing instruction, or do they try to make you start over?

OK, can this hijacked thread get back on track? The crux of this inquiry was about cards being accepted world-wide.

He mentioned "By the way..." about the snorkeling. Let's not get wrapped around that same old axle again. We all acknowledge that agency "XXX" sucks and agency "YYY" rocks. (you can feel free to fill in the appropriate agency names here)
