So I haven't found out what's up with the shoes..

The pilot was the one that was in the helicopter....

Gin must have worked for Dharma at some point..... in the past.

We think that Ben's face must have something to do with Aaron.

I think the reason Ben was all beat up was because he tried to kill Penny. Remember Ben went to Charles Whidmore's house one night and said that he was going to kill his daughter because Whidmore was the reason that his daughter(Alex) was dead. Ben called Jack from a marina and Penny and Desmond are on a boat....so that might be it.
I also think that Kate took Aaron to Claire's mother.

The only thing about gin working for dharma, it looked like he recognized them to me, and if it was the past, he wouldn't have known who they were.

I think you're both on to somehting regarding Jin, but remember that he arrived back on the Island jumping in time. I think that Jin (post plane) crash met met Russeau in a jump (like we saw in ep 4 and 5) and then went to work for Dharma. Also rmember that in the end of episode 5, Locke should have "fixed" the wheel in the Orchid and thereby supposedly keeping the island form further jumps, leaving everybody in ~1985. But in "real" time only 3 years have passed and now trhe Oceanic "6" are coming back to the island, only in a differnet time. Also note how in good shape Jin's VW bus was, was it the same bus that Ben killed his dad in and Hurley previously resurected in like season 3 (Does that mean that Jin will be killed when Ben esterminates the Dharma initiative?).

Interesting season it is.

I TOTALLY agree with you about JIN!

Ha, lol. Thanks. I only got "caught up" after watching seasons 3 and 4 shortly before christmas. It's difficult now only watching one episode a week (and having to watch them a day after you guys). And, I have posted in this thread before, only once though I think.

The only thing is after thinking about it a bit more I think they're further back in time. Like in the 70's, and maybe this is when we'll see Daniel going in to check out the orchid station while they're building it.

Good call. Desmond kicked the bejebus out of Ben. I like it. But the marina is also where Sayid, Kate Sun and Jack all met up with Ben before going to see Eloise, and I think Jack had meetings with Ben there before. The marina might not mean anything. I thought Ben's getting his arse handed to him might have had more to do with Sayid being there (Sayid kicked the bejebus out of him when Ben went to get him to go on the flight). There was Marshall escorting Sayid in handcuffs, was even she a real marshall? Eloise did tell them to recreate the circumstances of the oceanic flight as closlely as possible (but then why didn't they cuff Kate?). Another Ben scheme?

As for Aaron, I was thinking that maybe Kate shipped him off to go live with Sun's daughter and Kate and Sun have some card up their sleeves to try and get back. I doubt Sun would ditch her own daughter without a plan to get back (and she also has a lot of money through her father like Penny does).

I was hoping for another plane crash for some new faces on the show

So was I. They even showed some paraphenalia from the Ajira ailine on the island in one of the recent episodes (I think somebody had/found a water bottle with the Ajira logo during a jump), plus there was that Indinan looking dude (I'm assuming the he was Indian since the flight's final destination was India) that talked to Jack at the airport and then Hurley told him to buckle up when the turbulence started. Seemed kind of like they were introducing him. But then they didn't show the plane not crash. Who knows. Either way, if they really are in the 70's Dharma Initiative, there are plenty of oppotunities to see some new faces.

Ben just might have killed Penny, if you remember in the past, Pennys dad killed Bens "daughter". When they were at the chapel, Desmond left first.....after, Ben said "he had a lose end to take care of"

They said they had to recreate as much as possible-Bens father was in the coffin, now it's Lock.... Kate was in cuffs, now its Sayid
