Is the Oasis (Denton) worth the trip?? It's about a 2 1/2 - 3 hr drive. From what I understand it's pretty small, and the only real selling point is the fish, and pretty good visibility.
 
Lessee....

Shallow
No vis
Lots of fish... Sunfish bite (hard)
No air fills on site
Gate may or may not be open.

IMHO....

Not worth it.

2 1/2 - 3 hours from where?

It's been awhile since the ONE TIME I dove there. Vis was brown and measured in inches. I think the max depth was 12'. You're about 1/2 an hour from the fill station. The last really isn't an issue - I doubt you'll empty your tank never mind going for a refill.

I don't think it should even qualify as a "Been there, done that".

That being said the LDS owner, who I think owns the Oasis, seemed like a really nice guy.
