Forgot to mention - Scuba.com did honor the $2,249 price that I placed the order under. Will be interesting to see if they actually honor the order as it went through and hit my card at $2249.

I had expected that they might contact me to let me know it was a pricing error on the website and the updated price was $2,649 - but they just processed the order and charged the lower price when they shipped on Friday.
Interesting about the lever, it’s like they expect it to work right off the bat. Is there any place for fine tuning?A little more regulator porn...

Toolless disassembly of the faceplate to remove sand and debris. So much easier than the D-series scrotum!
The diaphragm retainer doesn't form a high collar around the exhaust leaflets, which might make for better exhalation gas flow. There are paths out of the case 360° around the diaphragm in the standard diving position.

Diaphragm is keyed for proper orientation.
The lever appears to be gold plated, and action is SO smooth! Interestingly, unlike the D, there is no slop in the lever at all. Where it belongs is where it belongs. That should eliminate some mischief by shop techs. The loop that retains the lever end on the back of the diaphragm is more smoothly molded.
When I get home, I'll take it for a pool dive and generate some numbers. Then we can take it apart one evening soon.

And recovering. Pace yourself. It will give us more time to do what we do best and bombastically promote our wild speculations ...I'm away from the shop and haven't got my tools with me to open the top half. We'll see how light we can tune after this weekend's RegTech Seminar. I'm a little overtasked right now.
Hmmmm ... Philips head screws and a toolless diaphragm cover.A little more regulator porn...

I was expecting some kind of wizardry for the "one-turn" tank attachment of the T4x. Turns out it's just a steeper pitch on the threads, and a circlip to keep you from losing the knob. We'll see how easy it is to UNscrew it...
